Watercolor Art Club
The Watercolor Art Club, led by Sue Kruger, joins artists from the Schowalter Villa campus and the wider community who share a passion for painting with water colors. They meet Thursday mornings in the Creative Arts Studio at the Hesston Wellness Center. If interested, the club invites you to join them to see what its all about.
You can enjoy the art painted by these artists on the walls throughout the Wellness Center and Lakeside Village. The club annually celebrate their accomplishments with an open house the last Thursday in April. This is a free event, open to the community with artwork available for purchase.
Oil Painting Workshop and Club
Generally the third Saturday of each month, from 9am-3pm in the Creative Arts Studio, Dorothy Young offers an oil painting workshop open to Villa residents and community members. Each month features a different subject and no two paintings turn out alike. This is a great opportunity for new and experienced artists to share their knowledge and skills with each other. If interested, contact the Wellness Center front desk. There is a $30 fee for supplies.
If you enjoy oil painting on your own terms, you are also welcome to join the club on Tuesday mornings. Dorothy encourages anyone who might be interested to show up and see if it's for you! Bring your supplies, work on your personal projects, and enjoy the company!
