Serving The Greater Community

Giving and Sharing - Volunteering

"Volunteers are just ordinary people with extraordinary hearts. They offer the gift of their time to teach, to listen, to learn, to help, to inspire, to build, to grow, to learn. They expect no pay, yet the value of their work knows no limit. They have known the unexpected joy of a simple hug. They have planted tiny seeds of love in countless lives. Volunteers are just ordinary people who reach our and take a hand, and together make a difference that lasts a lifetime."

~ Kimberly Rinehart

Current Volunteer Opportunities:

Ice Cream Shoppe Attendant
Current opening: Each 2nd Monday of the month from 2:00p.m.-4:00p.m. Volunteers get a free scoop of ice cream each time they work!

Morning Devotional Readings
Volunteer Services is currently seeking volunteers to read devotions on the 1st Saturday and 4th Sunday of each month at the Villa Life Center at 8:00a.m. during breakfast time. Volunteers will receive a free breakfast.

Visits With The Residents
Seeking individuals for one on one visits with Healthcare and Assisted Living residents. This consists of visiting residents who may not have family close by, or just needing some extra company. This can work off of the volunteers schedule, and when it is convenient for the resident. This is a very fun, and wonderful experience for all ages to sit down and hear the stories from the residents.

Wheelchair Rides to the Dyck Arboretum

Come join the fun and be a part of the wheelchair rides to the Dyck Arboretum! This time varies, and depends on the resident and volunteers' schedule. This is a great way to make a difference in a resident's life and share a special bond with someone.
